FPV racing for Cortex Drone. Players host a lobby at a track, set laps and an entry fee, and race through neon gates, rings and tunnels past flame burners and fire curtains. FROM THE PADS TO THE PODIUM
| Lobbies with laps and fees Walk up to a track start and press K to host or join. The host sets 1 to 10 laps and an entry fee; joiners see the fee and the pot before they pay. Up to 8 racers, one per start pad. | A proper start Every racer gets a loaner FPV drone on a pad, held until the start lights count down. On green the motors spin up in Acro, in each pilot's own Glide or Manual style. | |
| Gates the server counts A gate only counts when you fly through its opening the right way, and the server rejects impossible times and positions. The next two gates are marked, and a crash puts you straight back at the last gate you passed. | Race HUD Place, lap, gate, race time, best and last lap, distance to the next gate, live standings and a split against your personal best. | |
| Results and replays A top-down map of every pilot's line, a speed heatmap and an altitude trace you can scrub, then an in-world replay of the whole field with trails, chase and overhead views at half, normal or double speed. | Smoke, flames and fireworks Each racer leaves a coloured smoke trail, burners fire as you pass, fire curtains burn across the track and fireworks go off at the arch for every finisher. | Track creator Fly a freecam and place 17 pieces: gates, rings, hex and cube gates, hurdles, the start arch and tunnels, plus pads, start lights, pylons, burners, fire curtains, flags, cones, signs, barriers and light towers. Tilt gates up to 90 degrees, reorder them, test run the draft and publish it for everyone. | Time trials and leaderboards Race your personal best ghost with splits, and climb each track's leaderboard for best lap, best race and wins. | |

BEFORE YOU START
| REQUIRES | FiveM with OneSync, Cortex Library (free), Cortex Drone 1.0.0 or newer (free) and oxmysql. The three database tables are created on first start. |
| MONEY | Entry fees and prizes use Qbox or QBCore cash. The pot is split 100 / 70-30 / 60-30-10 among finishers, with an optional house cut, and every movement is written to a ledger that refunds held fees after a restart. Without a framework, races are free. |
| DEMO TRACK | LSIA Neon Circuit stands at the Los Santos International south runway: a 1 km lap through the arch, 20 gates and a tunnel, with 8 start pads. |
| INSTALL | Add ensure cortex-droneraces after cortex-lib, cortex-drone and oxmysql. Give track builders the cortex.droneraces.create ACE, and staff cortex.droneraces.admin. |
| DRONES | Every racer gets a loaner FPV drone, so no item is needed. Set Config.requireItem to make players own a drone item to race. |
| CONFIGURATION | config.lua, the locale files, server/bridge.lua and the track files stay readable: laps, countdown, fees, payouts, creator limits, blips, the menu key and every effect. |
