/// FEATURES
ONE API, TWELVE GAMES
| Twelve games Timing Check, Sequence Recall, Pressure Control, Signal Lock, Circuit Routing, Pin & Tension, Wave Match, Trace Path, Pattern Rebuild, Pulse Sync, Mash and Trace Sweep, each with its own scoring and failure rules. | Four presets Easy, normal, hard and expert set concrete per-game parameters. Callers can tune parameters on top, and the bounds in config.lua cap what any caller asks for. | |
| QTE steps Press, hold, release, alternate, chord, react and a rate-capped tap for quick prompts inside your own flow. | Sequences Chain games and QTEs into one run with stop, continue or retry policies, bounded retries and one overall deadline. | |
| One result contract Play and PlaySequence wait for one result; Begin returns at once and calls back exactly once. Every result carries a status, reason, score and metrics. | Server-issued attempts For rewards, the server starts a player-bound attempt that expires, rejects replays and reports only to the resource that started it. | |
| Keyboard, mouse and controller An auto input mode shows the cursor only for games that need it. Escape always exits, and you choose whether that cancels or fails. | Player preferences Players set sound, motion, size and keys with /mgprefs, or in Cortex Settings when cortex-lib is running. | |
| Ends when it should Sessions stop on death, leaving an area, losing a target, logging out or a stopped resource, each with its own reason. | Update notices On start, the server console says when a newer release is on GitHub. One request per start, no downloads, and one convar turns it off. | |
/// SETUP / COMPATIBILITY
BEFORE YOU START
| REQUIRES | FXServer with Lua 5.4. No framework, database or cortex-lib is needed. OneSync is only needed for the demo's distance checks. |
| OPTIONAL | cortex-lib adds Cortex Settings and the shared accent colour. The demo's reward example uses Qbox when qbx_core is running and rewards are enabled. |
| INSTALL | Extract the cortex-minigames folder, keep its name, and start it before the resources that call it. No SQL and no frontend build. |
| DEVELOPERS | Call exports['cortex-minigames']:Play from a coroutine, or Begin with a callback. Load @cortex-minigames/caller.lua so a call still returns if the provider stops. |
| REWARDS | A client result never authorizes a reward on its own. Start a server attempt, recheck the player's state, then commit once. |
